The People:
Stephen Egan, Managing Director. Stephen, a qualified engineer, formed Solas Financial Sept 2004. Stephen has been active in the Irish property market since 1994 and is currently active in property developments in Ireland. Prior to forming Solas Financial, from 1997 - 2004 Stephen served as operations director of Trade Signal Corporation Limited which he co-founded in 1997 in conjunction with two partner’s. Trade Signal Corp develops and delivers quantitative futures and derivatives analysis to institutional and retail futures traders. It products are licensed by over 80 U.S. futures brokers, some of the world's largest derivatives exchanges, as well as leading global corporations in the Energy, Agriculture and Financial sectors. The business was sold to a leading US based futures brokerage firm in 2004.
Micheal O Croinin. Sales Director. Micheal, an economics graduate of UCC, Micheal has extensive experience in the financial services business having worked with Bank of Ireland Life and Pensions as an investment advisor. Prior to joining BOI Micheal spent 3 years as a futures markets analyst with Trade Signal Corporation where he was jointly responsible for the firms widely syndicated fundamental futures newsletter. Micheal joined Solas Financial from a leading Cork based financial services company.
