Easy access – Plane, train or automobile
La Napoule Train Station is a 20 minute walk from the Residence. One has the option of taking a train along the stunning coast through Antibes, Nice, Villefranche, Monaco and Ventimilia and on into the beautiful Italian Riveria. Alternitively you can head west through Frejus, St Raphael to Marseille and on to Paris or London by TGV if you so desire. With a car, junction 40 of the A8 auto-route is the closest access from the motorway to the beaches of the Cote d’Azur. This means Nice International Airport is 20 minutes by car, Monte Carlo 45 minutes and the Italian border 1 hour.
Golfer’s heaven – 10 courses within 45 minutes drive of Le Petit Lac
The Cannes Mandelieu Golf Course commonly referred to as the old course (http://www.golfoldcourse.com/) is the oldest golf course on the Riviera. It has a lovely traditional clubhouse, restaurant and terrace and is famed for its stunning tall pine trees. The golf course is relatively flat and suitable for all levels, those who prefer to walk whilst playing or use a buggy. It is possible to be a member or to simply pay a green fee (€75). In this region of France, within a 45 minute drive there are 10 golf courses to choose from. 2 in Mandelieu, 2 in Mougins, 2 in Grasse, 2 in Opio Valbonne and 2 at Fayence part of the new Four Seasons hotel. An hour away there are other golf courses at Monte Carlo, Saint Tropez, Saint Maxime, Saint Raphael, St Endreol and Chateau Taulane.
